SPRING Add-on

SPRING stands for Sustainable Program for Irrigation and Groundwater Use. It is a GLOBALG.A.P. add-on that assesses responsible water management at farm level. SPRING targets producers, supply chains and buyers who want to demonstrate sustainable use of water resources.

SPRING covers water use, abstraction, legal compliance, protection of water sources and catchment management. Combined with GLOBALG.A.P. IFA for fruit and vegetables, SPRING links to the sustainability requirements of the SIFAV Basket of Water Standards.
