GLOBALG.A.P. is an internationally recognised certification scheme for good agricultural practices. It was created to demonstrate that agricultural products are produced in a safe, sustainable and traceable way, taking into account food safety, environmental protection, worker welfare and the management of production processes.
GLOBALG.A.P. is especially important for producers who want to export, work with international buyers or meet retail-chain requirements. Certification builds trust between producer, trader and end customer.
GLOBALG.A.P. covers the key areas of primary agricultural production.
For producers and producer groups of fruit and vegetables. IFA FV targets safe, sustainable and high-quality agricultural production and comes in two versions: IFA v6 Smart and IFA v6 GFS, with GFS intended for clients requiring GFSI-recognised certification.
For field crops, cereals, legumes, forage crops, crops for oils, sugar, starch and other mechanically harvested crops. The standard covers safety, traceability, sustainable resource use and biodiversity protection.
For flowers and ornamental plants, including open-field and greenhouse production. Covers environmental management, plant protection, inputs, worker health and safety, quality and traceability.
For crops intended for further processing — freezing, juices, roasting, milling, pre-processing or feed ingredients. The standard addresses the specific risks of crops not sold directly as fresh produce.
For companies that handle, trade, store or manage products carrying a GLOBALG.A.P. claim. CoC guarantees that a product sold with a GLOBALG.A.P. claim or GGN genuinely originates from a GLOBALG.A.P.-certified production process, with segregation, identification and traceability protected.
Add-ons are applied on top of the core GLOBALG.A.P. certification — GRASP, SPRING, BioDiversity, GGFSA, Nurture Module, AH-DLL GROW.
